The Charlie Adair & Ron Lumbrezer Memorial Track Meet began in 2012 and is an annual event. Charlie and Ron were both very dear people we lost in our school and community in 2011. Charlie was the 6th grade teacher here at Holy Trinity. She helped to run the homework club weekly, took the children to 6th grade camp every year at Camp Storer, and was a volleyball coach for the middle school and high school girls in the CYO program. She also served as a member of the board for the Holy Trinity Athletic Boosters. Ron served in the National Guard and was a former member of the Metamora Fire Department. He was a great role model who also cared deeply about his family and his community. Both Charlie and Ron lost their lives by being involved in a car/pedestrian accident. The Memorial Track Meet provides a fun way for kids to compete in different track events, as well as a basketball free throw contest, baseball throwing and hitting contests, and corn hole tournament. Chicken barbeque dinners are served all day. There are also raffles and an auction. Since Charlie and Ron were both volunteer firefighters, the track meet event ends with a Fire Brigade Tug-of-War where local volunteer firefighters compete in a tug-of-war contest officiated by Toledo Mayor Mike Bell. Money raised benefits the Charlie Adair & Ron Lumbrezer Memorial Fund. http://pageeasy.com/CharlieAdairRonLumbrezerMemorialTrackMeet/
Donuts with Dad
Our Holy Trinity Dads are invited to come in and have donuts with their children one morning.
Every year on Mardi Gras, the students participate in a fun-filled afternoon event. Students purchase tickets to play games and win raffle prizes. All proceeds of Mardi Gras goes to the school's Lenten collection, such as Operation Rice Bowl sponsored by Catholic Relief Services.
The Annual Holy Trinity Daddy/Daughter Dance will take place each Spring in our school gymnasium. It is a time for Dads in our parish and school to treat their daughters like real princesses and enjoy a special evening of desserts and dancing.
Annual School Musical
The Holy Trinity Musical is an event that began over 40 years ago. Each class has a role in the musical and perform songs together. Some of the older students act out the musical theme of the year in between the class numbers. This major event in our school year packs the Community center on a weekend in March. It also serves as our largest fund raiser as students sell patrons for the musical program. We have been raising over $25,000 each year. The musical is free and open to the whole community.
In September, our students celebrate the gift of their grandparents. We honor grandparents with an all-school mass and then enjoy donuts, coffee, and photos.
Muffins with Mom
A new tradition at HT is creating memories through “Muffins with Mom” event. The morning consists of students enjoying muffins with their moms, presenting a handmade gift to their mom, and attending our May Crowning service at Church.
Breakfast with Santa
Is a fun way for students and parish children to kick-off the Christmas Season. Held the 1st Saturday in December, this event is filled with great food, crafts, games, door prizes, and a surprise visit from Santa.
White Elephant Sale
In preparation of Christmas gift giving, this annual sale is a fantastic way for our students to show their love for their parents, siblings, and grandparents. Students buy donated items for 25 cents to a dollar at our large sale as gifts for their loved ones. The 7th and 8th graders wrap the gifts and students take them home and put under their Christmas Tree.
Family Fun Nights
These HTPO events are always a hit with our students! Whether it’s a family-friendly movie night complete with pizza and popcorn, or a family Dance Night with Hawaiian decorations and food—it’s a great time to socialize with family and friends.
